The Cresta Croce (or Punta Giovanni Paolo II) is perhaps the most beautiful and fun peak that overlooks the Mandrone glacier, a plaisir ridge that is never difficult but absolutely emotional, a destination full of history and with profound spiritual and symbolic value. At its ends two solemn monuments, the 149/G cannon dating back to the First World War and the Granite Cross dedicated to Pope John Paul II as a sign of Peace and Faith in the world. A tour that is energy, between thin air and immense spaces, yet another great masterpiece of Mother Nature.
Schedule: Day 1 - Meet the previous evening at the Mandrone Refuge (2,450m). Day 2 - Circular route with ascent to the Cannone and ridge traverse to the summit (3,303m). Return via the Lobbia Refuge (3,040m).
The fee includes: IFMGA mountain guide service, logistics, insurance, technical equipment, memory photos. Not included: mountain huts and transfers for participants and the guide, to be shared among the participants.
